Hailing from Hobart, Tasmania, Eleri Mai Harris
is a freelance journalist and cartoonist
whose work has appeared on two sides of the Pacific Ocean
– On The Nib, Re:form, Cuepoint, GoComics, Symbolia, Narrative.ly, Taddle Creek, Seven Days, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Crikey, CityNews, Beat Magazine,
and way back when at Melbourne’s SYN FM. Eleri has a Bachelor of Arts (political science and history)
from The University of Melbourne,
a graduate diploma in journalism from RMIT, Australia,
and a Master of Fine Arts from the Center for Cartoon Studies
in Vermont, USA. A nonfiction comics enthusiast,
Eleri has worked as the Associate Editor of The Nib
and is a current card carrying member of the
American Comics Journalism Illuminati. In the middle of 2015, Eleri returned to the Land Down Under
where she is teaching journalism at the University of Canberra, camping under the stars in the bush
