My father, oceanographer Dr Peter Townsend Harris, asked me to create a custom water colour painting based on his scientific diagrams for the cover of his book, Mysterious Ocean. Making this painting involved a significant amount of back and forth, as I had to get the geological processes correct while maintaining a high aesthetic value. It was a pleasure working on this one and I’d love to be given the opportunity to work on more commissions like this.
